YAKIMA SPECIALTIES PURPOSE IS TO TRAIN AND EMPLOY PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

o that end, we employ a staff of training oriented supervisory people and provide not only employment, but training in job-related life skills to our clients/employees.

Currently, Yakima Specialties runs four programs: the Wood Shop, Laundry Services, Janitorial Services, and Supported Employment. All of these programs help people with special needs to improve their marketable skills and earn a living.

Jobs provide our clients with personal satisfaction, self worth, sufficiency and challenge.

And the real core of Yakima Specialties is our clients. Our clients are the people that produce the products and services we sell. They are people with special needs that have found a meaning and value at Yakima Specialties. Without them, Yakima Specialties would not exist. Without Yakima Specialties, their life would be way more difficult and have far less quality.

Their jobs at Yakima Specialties give them a purpose in life and a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Their earnings provide the opportunity to become financially independent and more intellectually independent through their work. The training they receive in job related skills helps to build their confidence while they earn a living. Our clients have found meaning and value at Yakima Specialties, enabling them to enjoy a fuller and more satisfying life.
